Happy Thanksgiving!
It's that time of year again where everyone is last minute shopping for ingredients for that fabulous Thanksgiving dinner. All of this preparation so that family & friends can sit together for a wonderful meal. It may seem like a big hassle for one day but it's ALL worth it! Especially when we can share great food, lots of laughs & big hugs with family. There are times we get so caught up in making life's minor issues majors & forget that there are so many people out there with much bigger problems & hardships to overcome. This year there will be a family who doesn't have the option of celebrating Thanksgiving in their home because they are homeless. This year there may be one less seat at the Thanksgiving table because a loved was taken from them. This year there is no fancy Thanksgiving dinner because they lost their job and can't afford it. This year someone's children won't have their parents with them because they are serving in the military for our country overseas. Let's be mindful of all the wonderful blessings we have on a daily basis. Because there are many!!! Thank you for allowing me to wake up every morning and take a breath. Thank you for my mouth that allows me to say something nice and smile everyday. Thank you for my eyes that allow me to see the beauty in everything. Thank you for my ears so that I can hear when someone says "I love you". Thank you for my arms so that I can hug those who need one : ) Thank you for my legs that allow my to travel any distance to be with those who love me. Thank you for my feet that allow me to stand firm so that I can be strong for those who can't. I'm sure you have something you can be very thankful for this year. Maybe you haven't really thought about it but I want you to now. Share something you are thankful for and bring joy to your life by stating it out loud. Whatever your currently discouraged about will disappear once you finish sharing what you are truly grateful for. It's impossible to be miserable when you're giving thanks. A Happy Thanksgiving to all of you & your families. Inspire us with your gratitude : ) |
